ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THE KIDS GETTING BIGGER IS THAT THEY ARE TAKING AN INTEREST IN DRAWING AND PAINTING AND ACE HAS BEEN ENJOYING DRAWING WITH ME WHILE I WORK. HE STARTED DRAWING A SNAKE TOO BUT DECIDED THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY A MUMMA DOLPHIN WITH HER BUBBA DOLPHIN. GRIN.

I HAVE TO SAY 'TREASURE HUNTING' AKA GARAGE SALE-ING AND MARKET GOING IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE HOBBIE. FROM DOONA COVERS TO BAGS TO SILK SHIRTS, I EVEN PICKED UP A NEW*USED TAROT DECK WHICH I AM SLOWLY LEARNING...I DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH LOOSE CHANGE I'VE SPENT OVER THE YEARS SUPPORTING MY HABIT, BUT THE THRILL OF THE CHASE, THE EXCITEMENT OF DISCOVERY, I'M SURE MANY OF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND....

WEDDING INVITATION DESIGN

My beautiful friends Sam and Nerissa are getting married out on a farmstay in Midginbil Hill, NSW in the Byron Bay hinterland and they asked me to make their invites. I've never made invitations before so it was a really fun experience. I illustrated all of the type myself trying to give a real personal touch, the wedding is set in an old barn on a rural property so we really wanted a natural, bohemian style invite. xo

IN THE GARDEN THIS MONTH

So this winter has been, uh, long...and cold...and I am longing for summer days...even tho we are living in sub-tropical paradise it still feels cold cold cold. Soooo Ace has been helping me prep our garden ready for early spring planting, luckily the cold hasn't impeded our little celeries growth who are quite happy in their little bunches. We are planning quite a diverse spring plant out....more as we get em in the ground.
